GAWMLESS END
Gawmless (or Gormless) End is an
historic old Lancashire farmhouse nestling among the Rossendale Hills in
the West Pennines of northern England. Also known locally as "Whitworth
Castle" because of the unusual castellated gable end overlooking the
valley, it is the only Grade II Listed Building in Shawforth.
